The Luggie Elite is a brand new portable scooter that has been upgraded from the much-loved Luggie Standard. The design team at Luggie set out to build upon its success by adding several features that tick all the boxes when it comes to portability, strength and comfort.
Some added comfort features that contribute to the excellent ergonomics of this model include a larger padded seat that is adjustable to two different heights depending on your personal preference. Padded armrests have also been added which can help alleviate the strain on your arms on long-distance trips. The tiller is adjustable to a variety of heights, and you now can adjust the tiller angle, meaning you won't have to reach as far to grab the handlebars. All these features, combined, will ensure you of a much more pleasant journey.
The Elite has the ability to fold down into many different portable combinations depending on your situation. You can choose to fold it down flat in the circumstance that you need to slide the scooter into the boot of your car with ease. On the other hand, it can also fold into a compact package that resembles a suitcase that can roll around using the tiller as a handle. This folding method can be particularly handy when travelling on a plane, train or cruise ship.
An essential addition to the Elite is its larger 10.5ah lithium battery which enables you to drive an extended range of up to 15-25km. The battery is also 100% certified plane safe, and a 5amp charger also comes included which allows for quick charging, making this a perfect low hassle mobility scooter for your travels.
It also comes equipped with a powerful 120W motor which enables this model to carry a larger weight capacity than the Standard. Featuring solid fill tyres that are guaranteed puncture-proof means that you won't ever be left stranded with a flat tyre.
The electromagnetic braking system further simplifies the operation of this mobility scooter. All you need to do is release your hand from the accelerator, and the brakes will automatically initiate and ease you to a gentle stop. It is also fitted with rear anti-tip wheels that protect you when driving up inclines and steeper terrains.
A feature that sets the Elite apart from many other gophers is its ability to turn at more acute angles compared to a lot of other four-wheelers on the market. This exceptional maneuverability has been made possible by its front wheels being placed closer together, allowing it to navigate confined areas similar to a three-wheeler without sacrificing stability. Making it the ideal option if you plan to use the Elite in restricted indoor areas.
